PSHE
My name is Joanne Vos and I am Trust Director for PSHE.
Why is PSHE so important to me?
PSHE is so important to me because it is essential in helping our children develop into happy, successful adults who are able to participate in and contribute to society. Having excellent knowledge, understanding and skills in other subjects is meaningless if our children don't have the appropriate personal, social and emotional life skills needed to use and apply them in everyday life as adults.
What is the Trust vision for PSHE?
My vision for the subject is for it to develop the skills needed for our children to make choices about their safety, health and well-being. I would like the subject to be a lesson that children can personally relate to and learn from. Quite simply, PSHE should significantly contribute to the life chances of our children.
