Royal Shakespeare Company - June 2026

Children had the fantastic opportunity to perform on stage at Bishop Auckland Town Hall as part of the Playmaking Festival. Both Fishburn and Bluebell Meadows children have been practising since January with the RSC (Royal Shakespeare Company), to bring to life The Tempest! It was an amazing day and all of our children blew the audience away. We are very proud of their  stage presence and confidence.

 

 

🌟 Stranton Careers Day 2026 🌟- June 2026

 

Stranton school hosted it annual Careers Day yesterday where School welcomed representatives from the 👮 Police, 🚒 Fire Brigade, 🎓 FE College, 🗣️ Youth Council UK, 📸 photographers, 💈 barbers, ⚽ sports professionals, public service workers, 🦞 a lobster hatchery, and even Premier League referee 🏆 Tony Harrington.

 

The children had an amazing time meeting a real-life lobster 🦞, trying on police and fire brigade uniforms 👮🚒, using the hose from a fire engine 💦, and even getting the chance to sit inside a real fire engine! Some pupils enjoyed a free haircut 💈, while others were inspired by hearing about Tony Harrington's journey to becoming a Premier League referee ⚽.

 

🎶 To round off a brilliant day, the children were treated to a fantastic performance from Hartlepool's very own Pek and Wanley. Their amazing music had everyone smiling and ended the day on a real high! 🎤🎸🎵

Eskdale Girls Rugby Team finished a fantastic 2nd in the Town Finals this week ( Oct. 2025)

This is an amazing achievement and a testament to the team’s hard work, determination, and teamwork. We’re incredibly proud of how they represented our school with such enthusiasm and sportsmanship.
