The National Professional Qualification for Leading Teacher Development (NPQLTD) is designed for teachers and leaders with responsibility for developing others, including through mentoring, coaching, instructional coaching, or leading professional practice.

Delivered by Eden Academy Trust in partnership with Ambition Institute, this programme combines evidence-informed leadership development with structured reflection to support your professional growth and strengthen your ability to develop others effectively.

Who is this programme for?

NPQLTD is ideal for

- Mentors of Early Career Teachers (ECTs)

- Staff supporting trainee teachers

- Professional development leads

- Teachers and leaders responsible for developing colleagues

If you are supporting the professional growth of teachers and staff, this programme will help you to develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence to design and lead effective teacher development that improves teaching, strengthens school culture, and positively impacts pupil outcomes.

What you'll gain

By the end of the programme, you will:

- Strengthen your ability to design and lead effective professional development

You’ll have the opportunity to reflect on how your professional learning can directly strengthen teacher development and professional learning within your own context and school setting.
