How NPQs Work
All NPQs follow a structured, evidence-informed model designed to develop leadership knowledge and practice over time.
What to expect
- A mix of online learning and facilitated sessions
- Opportunities to apply learning in your own setting
- Support from experienced facilitators
- A 12 or 18 month programme of learning, depending on your chosen NPQ
- Priority support from our dedicated NPQ team
Assessment
NPQs are assessed at the end of the programme through a written case study based on what you have learned (1,500 words). Support and guidance will be provided in preparation to this endpoint, and the process is manageable alongside your role in school.
Funding and elligibility
Many NPQs are fully funded through Department for Education scholarships, particularly for schools serving disadvantaged communities. We can guide you through your options to ensure you access the support available to you.
Impact
NPQs are designed to create meaningful, lasting improvements in schools. Participants develop:
- Stronger leadership knowledge and decision-making
- Practical strategies they can apply immediately
- Confidence in leading teams and improving outcomes
- A deeper understanding of teaching, learning and school systems
