Eden Academy Trust

Stranton Primary School

Stranton Primary School is an above average sized Primary school in the centre of Hartlepool which was graded ‘Outstanding’ in its most recent OFSTED inspection (March 2024). Stranton Primary School takes a truly holistic approach to supporting all our pupils. We are a community where children’s rights are at the heart of our school; they are learned, taught, respected, protected and promoted.

Stranton Primary School was the founding school of the then ‘Stranton Academy Trust’ – sponsoring Eskdale Academy before collaborating with Jesmond Gardens School and then more recently Bluebell Meadow Primary School to form the Eden Academy Trust.

Stranton School has a strong reputation for its inclusivity, pastoral care, educational excellence and work within its local community. As a National Support School, Stranton also offers support and guidance to Schools both across the Local Authority and much further afield.

At Stranton School, we believe ‘Only the best is good enough!’ for our pupils, families, communities and staff.
