Eskdale Academy is a place full of energy, potential, and a deep-rooted sense of community.

At Eskdale Academy the vision is simple: to ensure that every child feels safe, inspired, and supported to achieve their very best. I believe that schools should be places of ambition, curiosity, and joy – where young people are encouraged not only to succeed academically but also to grow in confidence, resilience, and character.

A key priority for me as we move forward is attendance. Quite simply, every day counts. When students are in school consistently, they are more likely to achieve better outcomes, develop positive relationships, and take full advantage of all the opportunities we have to offer. Good attendance isn’t just about being present – it’s about being part of something bigger, feeling connected, and learning together. I will be working closely with staff, students, and families to promote excellent attendance and ensure that barriers are addressed quickly and with compassion.

I also want to stress how important our wider school community is to me. Education is most powerful when we work together – when families, staff, governors, and community partners pull in the same direction. I want our school to be open, welcoming, and inclusive, where your voices are heard and your ideas matter.
